Make Working Out Fun with Classpass

I signed up for ClassPass a month ago to explore workout classes in my area. I learned about the app through my friend who has access as a work perk. She started using her credits to attend pilates classes at The Jungle Dallas and it looked cool.

I decided to sign up for a free trial with Classpass versus a membership with The Jungle because I only wanted to go occasionally with my friend. When I initially signed up for the free trial, I forgot about it and did not use it.

However, one day I was going through my bank statement and I saw Classpass charged me $79 because I forgot to cancel my free trial. I realized that my credits were about to expire in a week and a half so, I decided to schedule as many classes as possible to use my credits.

That week I scheduled classes every day and it was so much fun to switch up the studios I went to. I tried out Pure Barre, Cycle Bar, Inspire Yoga, Restore Hyperwellness, and JamBox.

How it Works

ClassPass allows you to book fitness, wellness, and beauty services from various studios all in one app. It works off a credit system. There are four plans you can choose from. You use the credits to sign up for the classes you want to attend. If you need to purchase more credits throughout the month, you can.

For example, I have the $39 plan which gives me access to 18 credits per month. If I want to attend a CycleBar I will look at their schedule, select the class I want to attend, and then it deducts the credits from my total. CycleBar typically uses between 2-4 points.

Benefits of Classpass

  1. Variety

My favorite thing about ClassPass is there is a large variety of studios I can try so I never get bored. If you live in a nice size city then you have a good amount of options.

2. Cost

The price of attending a class through ClassPass is less expensive than paying directly through the studios.

For example, I can sign up for a CycleBar class on ClassPass for 3 credits. I pay $2.17/credit which comes to a total of $6.51. However, if I signed up for one CycleBar class through them it would cost $25.

3. Convenience

You can use your Classpass around the United States so you are not tied to one area. If you are vacationing or visiting family you can still keep up with your workout routine.
