For quite a while, I have been trying to invest in new skincare products, makeup, and clothing. As I enter my 21st year on this earth, I see this as the best time to create the wardrobe and skincare routine that I desire. I am shopping smarter and more efficiently by strategically using coupons and cash back resources in order to get the most out of my shopping experience. My first trial run at this is shopping at my favorite store ULTA.
I did just a little bit of damage at ULTA. I bought some bomb skincare products because I really, really enjoy pampering myself. It’s sort of my obsession. So without further ado, let’s dive into how I saved money at ULTA.

FREE SHIPPING
When I shop online, I like to be able to qualify for free shipping. If I know, I won’t reach the requirement I don’t even try. In order, to qualify for free shipping at Ulta, I needed to spend $50 which was pretty easy.
When I had added all of the items that I wanted to my cart, I was pretty close to reaching that $50 minimum. I was just $1 short. Instead of letting all my hard work go to waste I found the cheapest product that could serve some value. That’s how I ended up buying the e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyebrow Duo Brush for $3.00.
Qualifying for free shipping allowed to eliminate the $5 shipping fee.
20% Ulta Coupon
Lucky for me, ULTA had just released a 20% off coupon which they don’t offer often. I was blessed. With the 20% off coupon, I was able to save $12.73 from the original total of $63. 65 down to $54.99.
2* Reward Points
If you are a ULTA rewards card owner, you earn points for the purchases you make. The points you accumulate then can be used for future purchases that can save you a few dollars. One hundred points equal three dollars.
On the particular day that I went shopping, they were doubling the amount of rewards points you gain for your purchase. In turn, I was able to earn twice the rewards points I would normally get. This gave me the grand total of 50 points and allowed me to reach the threshold of 100 points to use on my next purchase.
I did not necessarily get to reap of the benefits of these points this go round but next time.
Ebates Cash Back
Ebates is a website that I use with every online purchase that I make. This website gives you cash back for every participating store that you shop at. Ebates will give you 3% cash back for your purchase at Ulta. With this purchase, I received $1.98 cash back on my order of $54.99.
Credit Card Cash Back
I have the Bank of America Cash Reward credit card which rewards 1% cash back for all purchases that you make. With this particular purchase, I received a small reward of $.54. However, any amount that you get back is spectacular.
