What Could The Black Friday Sales Be This Year?

It's almost Thanksgiving time!!!!  What are your plans for the holiday?

My Thanksgiving will be spent trying to get extra hours at my second job mainly because I won't be able to get home to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. On the bright side of this, I will  be able to have extra money to spend on frivolous things like going Black Friday shopping.

I am so excited participate in Black Friday for the first time. If you haven't read my first Black Friday post about tips to navigate Christmas gift shopping during Black Friday you should definitely check it out.

With Black Friday shopping being heavily on mind I have been thinking about how to make the most of my money. So lately, I have been having a hunch that  if I look at Black Friday sales from 2017 I might be able to estimate what we will see this year. I feel like last years sales should be in line with this years. The sales could be better or the same but I highly doubt they will be worse.  With that in mind, I decided to research all the places that I want to go shopping at during Black Friday  to attempt a plan for my shopping.

Based on what I find, I hope that I can use the information to decide whether it is really worth the time to shop at certain stores during Thanksgiving holidays. Also, it can help me solidify what types of items I want to get from each place.

P.S. If you don't know, there is a website called Shoptagr that is a wonderful shopping companion. You can save items you want from various retailers and it will track the price and notify you when the price drops. You can even create a "Black Friday" wish list so you have all the items you want to buy in one place so when the day comes you can quickly get all your items before they sale out.

Abercrombie & Fitch

In 2017, Abercrombie & Fitch had a whopping 50% off everything. Also, A&F members  were able to participate in the sale earlier, so if you aren't a member at this moment you might want to become one like yesterday.

Knowing that A&F is so expensive this is the perfect time to cash in for a new coat or sweater. I look forward to seeing what their sale is like this year, but based off of last year it looks promising.

Cheers to a new coat because Dallas is so cold right now.

Adidas

It seems as if the Black Friday sale for Adidas has already started so there is no reason to look at last year's sale. Select shoes on the Adidas website are up to 50% off. Make sure to keep your eyes open just in case better deals come.

ASOS

My research uncovered that ASOS typically gives 20% off everything on Black Friday. This discount does not stand out much as they routinely give 20% off everything throughout the year. However, last year ASOS gave 30% off everything.

If they give 30%  off this year, I will definitely be cashing out my ASOS wish list. What about you?

Also, for you guys looking to buy things on the higher end any discount ASOS gives might be great.

Banana Republic

Last year, Banana Republic had 50% off items. As I am writing this post, Banana Republic has 40% off.

Normally, I don't shop here because they are out of my price range but this one time I might have to let it slide. With 50% off the prices won't be too bad and that fact that their clothes are great quality makes it even better.

CottonOn

In 2017, Cotton On had  40% off  site wide and 50% off select styles. Not sure if you have ever shopped at Cotton On but there stuff is already pretty affordable so with the discount you will really win.

LOFT

Last year, LOFT provided customers with 50% off everything for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Currently, they have 40% off.

I am looking forward to getting some new black pants for work. If I didn't have to wear a uniform, I would most likely buy so much more than that.

Lulus

It seems as if Lulus had various discounts on clothing last Black Friday that had up to 90% off. The best way to stay in the loop to get the best deals this year is to sign up for their newsletter

NA-KD

Based on NA-KD's Facebook post from last year customers received 30% off. Hopefully this year we will see a similar sale. I am looking forward to getting sweaters from here. Also, they have free shipping all the time.

Nordstrom Rack

I was unable to find what the Nordstrom Rack sale looked like last year. From what I saw was that many clothing items were heavily discounted but there was not a blanket discount off every item.

If you are interested in shopping at Nordstrom Rack for Black Friday, just know that Black Friday will start on November 19th - November 26th for Nordstrom Rack and Cyber Monday will be November 25th at 9pm PST.

Old Navy

Last year, Old Navy gave customers the wonderful gift of 50% off everything.

Tobi

Last year, Tobi gave 50% off sitewide. Also, if you never shopped at Tobi they give new customers 50% off their purchase off the bat, so if you can't wait until Black Friday you should head over there now. Also, for Cyber Monday customers received 60% off new arrivals.

Ulta

Ulta releases their newsletter displaying their Black Friday deals, so keep your eyes open. You can sign up to get the newsletter as soon as it drops with this link.

Urban Outfitters

Last year, Urban Outfitters did buy one, get one 50% off. Personally, I probably won't participate in this because I just wanted sweaters from Urban which I could possibly get cheaper somewhere else. However, Urban outfitters has a lot of things that are aesthetically pleasing that you probably want. I have a lost of things I want to get for Urban Outfitters so I do plan to keep my eye on the site to see if they have a better deal this Black Friday.
